White Stag Journal Call for Poetry and Prose/Flash

White Stag is a biannual journal containing unparalleled poetry and prose from well-known and new writers. We offer the literary community a uniquely distinct taste for dark comedy, phantasmagoric imagery, complete dishonesty, and love poems to die for (and yes, pun is intended and strongly encouraged). White Stag strives to publish only the deepest emotion, the rawest of images, and the most unique language and syntax.

Issue Two's theme is "Beyond The Taboo", where we will explore cultural and societal taboos and tap into those "otherworldly" traditions, rituals, and lifestyles that may be deemed unacceptable or strange to American culture.

i've discovered i rather like dirty martinis

which may explain why i haven't been writing much lately. that's a bit of a joke. but only a bit.  on the other hand, having a blog that more often comes up in arabic than english is no laughing matter. i can't actually get into my blog at my leisure. it seems to be up to google whether i get english or arabic. which leads me to believe i should invest more time in figuring out wordpress. not only do i prefer their politics and privacy, but i don't think i'll  encounter as many techno frustrations.

sorry, long time passing

this blog has been temporarily neglected due to staying up to date on the other blog and relocating to a new city and a new job. I apologize if you have come looking and seen the same old same.

meanwhile, a new issue with the blogger format has surfaced. i hear that pop up ads are appearing on the site. this is not okay and if i can't make it stop, i'll move the blog over to Wordpress - which means getting some initial help in setting it up as it seems a bit more challenging than this blogger site.

so, you've come all the way over here just to hear that there's not much happening. i do think of this page and the neglect should be remedied by early next year.

stay tuned if you have the patience. thanx.
